About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced program manager to lead a multi-year identity and access management (IAM) program within a complex healthcare environment. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple concurrent projects within a broader cyber remediation and uplift program, focusing on IAM initiatives.

This program reports directly to the chief technology officer (CTO), with a dotted line through senior security leadership and the program director. You will work closely with business, technology, and security teams to drive strategic initiatives across multiple locations.

This is a fixed-term, two-year contract, with the potential for a third year.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the IAM program, delivering key initiatives such as multi-factor authentication, conditional access, identity governance, privileged access management, and role-based access control.
- Oversee multiple IAM projects within a broader cyber remediation/uplift program, ensuring security, compliance, and timely execution in a high-pressure environment.
- Support the development and implement an IAM strategy to standardise onboarding processes, enhance security, and address healthcare-specific identity challenges.
- Manage program budgets, financials, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Engage with senior executives, stakeholders, and external partners to drive collaboration, secure alignment, and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers and business analysts, ensuring optimal resource allocation and successful project delivery.
- Navigate a matrixed organisational structure, aligning IAM initiatives with broader cyber remediation efforts and ensuring seamless integration across healthcare systems.
- Collaborate with technology vendors to implement IAM solutions, manage infrastructure deployments, and oversee transition and migration processes while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across IT, security, and business teams, fostering collaboration, ensuring policy adoption, and maintaining clear and transparent communication.

Skills & Experience

- Led multi-year, enterprise-wide programs, managing multiple IAM or cybersecurity projects simultaneously.
- Experience in IAM, including multi-factor authentication, identity governance, privileged access management, and role-based access control.
- Healthcare sector experience is essential.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing senior executives, business leaders, and cross-functional teams.
- Clear, effective communicator, translating complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experienced in matrixed organisations, navigating multiple reporting lines and aligning projects with strategic priorities.
- Skilled in financial and budget oversight, ensuring technology programs stay within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Proactive and confident, independently engaging stakeholders and fostering collaboration across teams.
- Strategic thinker, excelling in high-pressure, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Proven track record of overcoming challenges and driving successful program delivery.
