Digital Design Manager

As the Design Manager, you will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product designers in shaping scalable, consistent, and accessible design solutions across multiple products and platforms. You will play a pivotal role in championing design excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring our key design projects support both technical feasibility and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable, consistent, and accessible design solutions, ensuring they align with customer needs and business objectives.
• Champion design system best practices across product teams to enhance customer experiences and ensure operational excellence.
• Establish efficient design workflows, processes, and practices that encourage collaboration and streamline the creation of reusable components and systems.
• Work closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to ensure design systems are scalable, usable, and aligned with technical constraints.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product design team to drive the creation and evolution of our design systems and design operations.
• Advocate for continuous improvement, innovation, and accessibility in design by leveraging user research, testing, and design thinking methodologies.
• Support and optimise design processes to align with company strategy and goals.

Key Skills Required:

• Proven experience in building and scaling design systems for complex organisations, with a focus on consistency and scalability.
• Deep understanding of responsive, mobile-first design, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.0/2.1), with experience ensuring compliance in designs.
• Strong ability to drive collaboration between design, product, and engineering teams to achieve impactful outcomes.
• Expertise in facilitating workshops, design critiques, and fostering team growth and development.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment of design strategies with business and customer needs.
